Sara Gonçalves, Paniscas (b.1998) is a self-taught Portuguese illustrator based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and currently hosting drawing workshops whilst crafting her own personal projects.

Despite being a creative from a very young age, growing up Sara wasn’t very keen on pursuing art as a career at all until very recently. After a few attempts at trying, and inevitably failing, to give art up as a whole, she was midway to completing her second Bachelor Law Degree when an unveiling realization helped her ultimately accept art wasn’t a choice at all but a necessity. Since then, she is adamant on following her north start and perfecting her craft as best as she can.

Her creations and illustrations are deeply intertwined with mundane life, her inner child’s dreams and ever-present Dutch nature. She primarily uses graphite, ink and watercolor and works from both imagination and real life to help internalize and process current and past life experiences.

In 2024 and 2025, Sara mentored her very first fantasy and animal anatomy drawing workshops in online format and is at present time hosting a fantasy drawing course in person at an events and cinema center in Eindhoven. Since 2024, Sara has been documenting online her personal and artistic growth through traditional illustrations and character design.
